I Will Survive is a powerful memoir chronicling a young man’s extraordinary journey from a small village in Uttar Pradesh to a life-changing cancer diagnosis. Born into a family that viewed daughters as burdens and sons with quiet acceptance, the author’s early years were filled with his mother’s unconditional love-until her sudden death from a snakebite in 2008 shattered his world. Forced to adapt to a new life in a CRPF camp and a new stepmother, he found refuge in education, eventually rising to become Head Boy and later a student at Aligarh Muslim University, chasing his dream of becoming an IAS officer. Just as life seemed to take shape, a cancer diagnosis-Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma-struck during Ramadhan in 2024.
